Associate Director of Business Operations
Tiffany Kimoto is the Associate Director of Business Operations for The Kavli Nanoscience Institute at the California Institute of Technology where she provides management for the center’s core programs, communication efforts, outreach initiatives, and financial oversight. She works closely with the Associate Director of Technical Operations to provide high-level administrative & financial support and leadership for the KNI Laboratory, a multi-user nanofabrication facility that serves 100+ users across academia, government and industry. Tiffany joined Caltech in 2011 where she supported the research group of Professor Harry A. Atwater in the department of Applied Physics and Materials Science. In 2015 she went on to work for two Caltech-led Department of Energy-funded research centers: the Light-Material Interactions in Energy Conversion Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) and the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP). Tiffany joined the Kavli Nanoscience Institute in July 2017. Tiffany received her MBA from University of Redlands and B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara.
